Colby Eagle Hoops Topside Tipoff Recap Day One

Unfortunately, the Eagles went 0-2 on the first day of the 2025 Topside Tipoff.

The boys played first, losing 66-57 after making multiple second-half surges, pushing it to a 6-point game with around 4 minutes to go at one point.

Jordan Jones led the boys with 27 points and Josiah Hoppe also reached double figures, pouring in 12 in the loss.

They will play Wray tomorrow in the Auxiliary Gym of Max Jones Fieldhouse at 5:00 Central.

The girls followed and took a tough loss, 67-23. They gained ground with a stronger second half and will look ahead to Ulysses tomorrow, as they face off at 3:00 Central Friday.

The Eagles did not feature a double-digit scorer but Kalyssa White led with 8 points and Maddie McCarty added 5.
