WRAY, CO — For the second straight season the Goodland Cowboy football team opened its season with a loss to the Eagles from Wray, 36-16.
Goodland (0-1) trailed 14-0 early but rallied late in the second & third quarters to take the lead 16-14 with just over four minutes left in the third quarter. Wray (2-0) would outscore GHS 20-0 the rest of the way to get the win.
Cowboys will host the Burlington Cougars in their next game this coming Friday at Cowboy Stadium for homecoming.
