Lifelong Sharon Springs, KS resident, Hunter Lee Still, 20, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, December 14, 2025 at the Hays Medical Center in Hays KS.

Hunter was born on March 3, 2005, to Yancy Still and Amanda Gibbs. He was one of 6 children. Hunter attended school in Sharon Springs, and graduated from Sharon Springs High School in 2023. He went on to attend school at the Missouri Welding Institute, where he earned a degree in welding.

He enjoyed hanging out with friends and family, Mud Racing, Fishing, helping his Grandma, hunting, taking his buddies and family out to cruise the backroads, working on cars that had no hope, and spending time beating those he loved in pool. Hunter was always there to lend a helping hand. He was selfless with and unconditional loving heart, and an on’ry smile like no other.

Preceding him in death were his paternal Grandfather Fox Still, His maternal Grandmother Jerri Gibbs, and his best friend Trevor Korbe.

Surviving family include his father Yancy and Traci Still of Sharon Springs, his mother Amanda Gibbs of Leslie MI, his siblings Journey Rose Simons and her husband Stephen Simons of Santa Fe, NM, Destaney Still of Leslie, MI, Justice Still of Sharon Springs, KS, Kasidee Daugherty of Sharon Springs, KS, and Seth Polk of Sharon Springs, KS. He is also survived by his paternal grandmother Sharon Still of Sharon Springs, KS, and his maternal grandfather Douglas Gibbs of Leslie, MI, His paternal Great Grandfather Douglas Gibbs of Leslie MI, his great grandmother Joye Rogge of Russell Springs, KS, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins across the country.
