This Monday at 7:45 AM, a crash occurred on I70 at mile marker 77.5, 0.1 miles west of County Road 14 in Gove County.
According to the Kansas Highway Patrol Crash Log, the driver of a 2019 Toyota Tacoma was traveling westbound on the highway and hit an ice patch, causing Megan Mohrlang's vehicle to swerve into a ditch and roll, eventually coming to a rest on its roof.
Mohrlang was transferred to Logan County Hospital after reports of possible injury. She was wearing a seatbelt during the accident.
This is another reminder to stay safe on the roads during the winter months as we're reaching freezing temperatures more frequently. It's the second accident we've seen reported in the Northwest Kansas area in the past few days, so stay safe, especially if you're driving on rural highways.
