Kansas Man Passes Away After Fatal Truck Accident Near Hays

Today, the KHP reported two men were involved in a crash west of Hays on Old Highway 40 at approximately 4 AM.


The passenger, 20-year-old Hunter Still, unfortunately passed away due to injuries sustained in the accident. Him and the driver, 20-year-old Cort Collins, were transported to the Hays Medical Center after the crash, Collins sustained serious injuries from the crash.


Collins' Ford F250 was driven off the roadway to the right of Old Highway 40 and was driven back onto the road at Spring Hill and crossed to a ditch where it rolled several times before coming to a rest on its side.


The F250 was the only vehicle involved in the accident, and the KHP reported neither person was wearing a seatbelt in the accident. We at NWKS Radio send our condolences and prayers to the family of Hunter Still and our prayers are with Cort Collins.


(This accident is not related to the shut down of I70 that was due to another accident later on Sunday in Ellis County)
