NWKS Radio and Vap Construction Team Up to Spread Thanksgiving Blessings in 2026
Annual Thanksgiving Meal Giveaway Returns to Recognize Two Deserving Northwest Kansas Families
Thanksgiving is a time for family, gratitude, and gathering around the table for a delicious meal. But for some families, the holiday season can bring added financial stress. For others, it's a time when their kindness and generosity toward their communities deserve a little recognition.
That's why NWKS Radio and Vap Construction Inc. are once again teaming up for one of their favorite annual traditions, the Thanksgiving Meal Giveaway!
This year, TWO deserving families, one from Colby and one from Atwood, will receive a complete Thanksgiving feast delivered right to their front door. And the best part? Our Northwest Kansas communities get to help decide who receives these special holiday blessings!
A Thanksgiving Tradition That Gives Back
Every year, NWKS Radio and Vap Construction look forward to making Thanksgiving a little brighter for two families in Northwest Kansas.
With grocery prices continuing to put pressure on household budgets, putting together a traditional Thanksgiving dinner can be a challenge for some families. Between the turkey, potatoes, stuffing, rolls, desserts, and all the extras, the cost of a holiday feast can add up quickly.
But this giveaway isn't just about financial need.
Maybe you know a family that has experienced a difficult year. Perhaps it's a family that always puts others first, volunteers throughout the community, helps neighbors, or quietly makes a difference without ever expecting recognition.
Those are the kinds of families we want to hear about!
Northwest Kansas is filled with generous, hardworking people who are always willing to lend a helping hand. This Thanksgiving, we want to return some of that kindness.
We Shop, We Deliver, They Enjoy!
One of the things that makes this tradition so special for NWKS Radio is getting to be personally involved in making it happen.
Each year, members of the NWKS Radio team set aside time to head to the grocery store and fill their carts with everything needed for a wonderful Thanksgiving feast. From the main course to the side dishes and holiday treats, it's a shopping trip filled with excitement and plenty of holiday spirit!
The selected families will get their choice of a turkey or ham, along with all the fixings for a complete Thanksgiving dinner.
Once the shopping is finished, the meals are delivered directly to the families' homes. NWKS Radio takes special pride in shopping for and delivering the Thanksgiving meal to the selected Colby family.
For the NWKS Radio team, this is so much more than a giveaway. It's an opportunity to connect with the communities we serve and be part of something that makes a real difference.
We're incredibly grateful to partner with Vap Construction year after year to continue this wonderful tradition.
