The Milwaukee Brewers are just one win away from their first World Series championship!  Milwaukee crushed Tampa Bay 10-1 Monday night in Game Three, taking a commanding three-games-to-none lead in the Fall Classic.  The Brewers broke the game open with an eight-run fifth inning, while Jackson Chourio collected four hits and rookie Robert Gasser tossed six scoreless innings.  Milwaukee has now won eight straight postseason games and can complete the sweep tonight in Tampa with first pitch set for 7 CT / 6 MT on FOX.

Kansas State head coach Collin Klein says the Wildcats need to clean up the little things following Saturday's 28-17 loss at Arizona State.  Klein praised backup quarterback Jacob Knuth for battling through an ankle injury but said the Wildcats struggled to establish the running game and gave up too many explosive plays defensively.  Meanwhile, starting quarterback Avery Johnson remains day-to-day, and Klein says he still doesn't know who will start Saturday against Colorado.  The Wildcats travel to Boulder looking to get back on track, with kickoff set for noon Mountain Time.

Kansas defensive tackle Blake Herold has been named the Big 12 Special Teams Player of the Week!  Herold blocked Baylor's potential game-winning 45-yard field goal with just 22 seconds remaining Saturday, preserving the Jayhawks' thrilling 25-24 Homecoming victory.  It was Herold's first career blocked field goal and Kansas' fourth this season, the second-most in the nation.  The win snapped a 14-game losing streak to Baylor, giving Kansas its first victory over the Bears since 2007.

COLLEGE HOOPS

Kansas State came up just short in its final preseason exhibition Monday night, falling to Nebraska 88-84 in Grand Island.  The Wildcats trailed by five at halftime but battled back, scoring 46 second-half points and connecting on 16 three-pointers for the game.  B.J. Rechsteiner led K-State with 21 points and seven assists, while Jaden Schutt added 16 points, including four triples.  The difference came at the free-throw line, where Nebraska made 21 compared to just six for K-State.

NFL

The Dallas Cowboys snapped their two-game losing streak Monday night, defeating the Philadelphia Eagles 38-21 in an NFC East showdown.   The Cowboys got touchdown catches from CeeDee Lamb and George Pickens, while Philadelphia continued to struggle without starting quarterback Jalen Hurts.
