Goodland came away with the GWAC girls golf championship Monday in Scott City, shooting a 398 to beat Cimarron by 10 strokes. Colby finished third with a 423. Goodland also swept the top individual spots, with Natalie Cure and Sadie Sederstrom both shooting 86. Cure would go on to win the playoff and take home the GWAC Golfer on the Year title. Cimarron’s Presley Glenn was third with an 89, while Colby’s Cora DeGood tied for fourth with a 96.

Goodland also made it back-to-back GWAC girls tennis team championships Monday in Scott City. Ella Linn captured the conference title in singles, while Reagan James finished runner-up and was voted the GWAC Player of the Year. In doubles, Elly Evert and Brynlee Zimmerman teamed up for a third-place finish, helping the Cowgirls secure their second straight conference team championship.

The White Sox and Rays are both one win away from the American League Championship Series. Chicago beat Cleveland 4-3 Monday to take a 2-0 series lead, while Tampa Bay knocked off the Yankees 5-2 to also go up two games to none. In the National League, Milwaukee leads San Diego 2-0 after winning both games at home, while the Braves and Dodgers are tied at a game apiece after Atlanta answered a Game One loss with a 3-2 victory Sunday night. The NL series resume Tuesday with the Dodgers at Atlanta, followed by the Brewers at San Diego. The American League series shift to Chicago and New York for Game Three on Wednesday.

NFL

The Atlanta Falcons rolled past New Orleans 45-24 Monday night to improve to 2-and-2. Atlanta dominated on the ground, with Bijan Robinson rushing for 145 yards and two touchdowns, while Brian Robinson added three rushing scores. Michael Penix Junior threw for 223 yards and a touchdown as the Falcons piled up 420 yards of offense. New Orleans falls to 1-and-3.
