The Rockies rallied for a 6-5 walk-off win in 11 innings over Baltimore Wednesday to take two of three from the Orioles. Colorado trailed by two in the 11th before TJ Rumfield drove in a run and Brett Sullivan delivered a two-out, two-run single to win it. The Rockies also forced extra innings by scoring with two outs in the ninth. Colorado has now won back-to-back games and opens a three-game home series with St. Louis Friday night.
The Royals let an early lead slip away Wednesday night, falling to Miami 9-6 at Kauffman Stadium. Kansas City scored five times in the first inning, highlighted by homers from Carter Jensen and Salvador Perez, and Jensen added his second homer of the night in the fourth. But Miami rallied with five unanswered runs to take the lead in the sixth before adding two more in the ninth. The Royals have now dropped three straight and will look to avoid the sweep Thursday with Michael Wacha on the mound.
The Colorado Buffaloes open the 2026 season tonight on the road against Georgia Tech in a rematch of last year’s 27-20 Yellow Jackets win. Colorado is coming off a 3-and-9 season and enters Year Four under Deion Sanders with a revamped roster and new offensive coordinator Brennan Marion. Sophomore quarterback JuJu Lewis takes over the offense full-time, while the Buffs will be tested by a Georgia Tech rushing attack featuring Michigan transfer Justice Haynes. Kickoff is set for 6 Mountain on ESPN.
