Turnovers & Penalties Hurt Cowboys in 33-16 Homecoming Loss to Burlington

The Goodland football team could not get out of its own way as it fell 33-16 to the Burlington Cougars on Friday night at Cowboy Stadium.

Goodland (0-2) grabbed the early lead but self-inflicted wombs, including four turnovers, and big plays from Burlington (1-2) turned out to be the Cowboy's demise.

Goodland will head back on the road next Friday to face Lakin, a team they lost to last season 23-17.
