City of Goodland Announces Chip Seal Projects for August 19th-20th

The City of Goodland has announced quite a few street chip seal projects that will be done August 19th and 20th. The timeline is all with weather and mechanical issues permitting.

It is anticipated that the streets specified below will be chip sealed August 19-20, 2026, barring unforeseen weather or mechanical difficulties. If your property is located along these areas, you will be notified of the exact date via hand-delivered door flyer.

Please move your vehicles away from the street for the 24-hour duration of the indicated date, beginning at midnight, so the street can be cleaned prior to the chip sealing. Any vehicles not moved from the street will be towed. Also, we kindly ask that you do not water your yard that morning so that crews can chip seal streets effectively. Streets being chip sealed will be blocked to any and all through traffic for approximately two hours depending on weather conditions.

Streets being Chip Sealed:

• 16th St – Entrance to Industrial Park

• Caldwell Ave from 8th to 17th St

• Center Ave from 8th to 17th St

• D’Loa from 8th to Dead End

• Grandview from D’Loa to Dead End

• Woodland from 8th to Grandview

• Sherman Ave from 8th to 13th St

• 11th St from Harrison to Eastridge

• 3rd St from Kansas Ave to Caldwell Ave

• 16th St from Cattletrail to Highway 27

• Cherry Ave from Railroad tracks to 19th St
