Kristie Lynn Teeter, 65, of Grinnell KS, passed away September 1st, 2026, in Oakley KS after a long hard-fought battle with cancer. She was born April 24, 1961, in Colby KS to Ammon “Mac” Teeter and Mary Magdalene Seat.

She received her G.E.D in 1978 and a Printers Certificate in 1979, both from Colby Community College. She joined the Navy in 1981. Stationed in San Diego where she was a welder before receiving an Honorable Discharge in 1982.

She lived much of her adult life in California, Nevada, Arizona, and Texas before coming home to be a caregiver to her mother.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Ammon and Mary, her sisters Victoria Allen, Anita (Kay) Barnett, and infant sisters Virginia and Sherrie.

She is survived by her 6 nephews, 2 nieces, 6 great-nephews, 11 great-nieces, 4 great-great nieces, and 1 great-great nephew.

Kris wanted her body to go to science, where she hopes she can inspire future cancer research. No services are planned. In lieu of flowers please send your favorite feline rescue a donation in her name.
