NWKS Radio and Ludell Renew & Revitalize Present: A Drive-In Movie Under the Stars – Raiders of the Lost Ark on the Big Screen!

Get ready to rewind the clock and head back to the 80s with an unforgettable night under the stars at the Ludell School House! NWKS Radio and Ludell Renew and Revitalize are teaming up again to bring you a community favorite — the second annual Drive-In Movie Night, happening Saturday, August 9th in Ludell, Kansas.

This year’s feature? The action-packed, adventure classic RAIDERS OF THE LOST ARK — and it’s playing on a HUGE LED screen you have to see to believe!

Gates open at 7:00 PM and the movie starts at 8:30 PM. It’s just $25 per vehicle, so pack the car with family, friends, lawn chairs, or even a mattress in the truck bed — whatever your drive-in style is!

🍿 Concessions will be available, with all proceeds — along with gate admission — going directly to the Ludell Renew and Revitalize effort to restore and rejuvenate the historic Ludell School House.

Why It Matters:

This isn’t just a movie night — it’s a chance to invest in the heart of a small town with a big vision.

The Ludell School House, built in 1936 with P.W.A. funds and local stone, served students until 1972 and has long been a hub for community life. Over the past year, Ludell Renew and Revitalize has used funds to restore the gym floor, install a new town sign, and begin construction on brand-new bathrooms. Upcoming goals include window replacements, gym painting, kitchen updates, and town murals — all aimed at turning this cherished structure into a fully functional community center.

The community rallied together last year for a similar movie night that, despite being rained out before the ending, was a smashing success. This year, we’re hoping for clear skies and an even bigger turnout!
