Colby CC Volleyball continued its winning ways with a 3-1 victory over Garden City CC last night in Garden. Lady Trojans took set one 25-22, lost set two 25-23, then won the final two sets 25-10 & 26-24. Colby has won three straight and is now 18-4 overall & remains tied atop the Jayhawk conference with a 9-1 record. The 9th-ranked Lady Trojans will face Barton in Great Bend on Saturday.

Former Kansas State basketball coach Dana Altman is retiring after 37 seasons as a Division One head coach. Altman coached the Wildcats from 1990 to 1994, leading K-State to the 1993 NCAA Tournament and earning Big Eight Coach of the Year honors. He later coached at Creighton and Oregon, leading the Ducks to the 2017 Final Four. Altman finishes his career with 792 victories.
Denver Broncos head coach Sean Payton says the team's offensive struggles are more about execution than play-calling. Despite ranking 27th in the NFL in scoring, Payton defended offensive coordinator Davis Webb, emphasizing attention to detail rather than a change in play-calling duties. The Broncos are 2-and-2 following Sunday's 24-14 loss to San Francisco and will look to bounce back against the Chargers this weekend.
Three teams punched their tickets to the League Championship Series Wednesday night in Major League Baseball. The Tampa Bay Rays completed a three-game sweep of the New York Yankees with a 4-3 victory. In the National League, the Los Angeles Dodgers eliminated the Atlanta Braves with a 4-1 win. Milwaukee is also moving on after a 3-1 victory over San Diego. And Cleveland kept its season alive with a 9-3 win over the Chicago White Sox. Chicago still leads that series two games to one, with Game Four coming up tonight.
Week Five of the NFL season kicks off Thursday night as the Dallas Cowboys host the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Dallas enters at 2-and-2, coming off a 34-30 comeback win over Houston. Meanwhile, Tampa Bay is still searching for its first win at 0-and-4 and will once again be without injured quarterback Baker Mayfield. Kickoff from AT&T Stadium is set for 7:15 CT / 6:15 Mountain Time on Prime Video.
