Sarah Louise Wehrmann, 65, of Elkhorn, NE, died Thursday, June 18, 2026. She was born May 4, 1961, in Colby, KS to John and Vonna (Davis) Sears. Sarah graduated from Colby High School and attended the University of Nebraska Lincoln where she was a sister of Kappa Alpha Theta sorority. She was a Certified Public Accountant who worked in healthcare management at the Mayo Clinic and later Allegiant Health. Sarah was an active member of the Heartland Equine Therapeutic Riding Academy, a nonprofit organization for children and adults of all ability levels, demonstrating her passion for horses and helping people. On June 7, 2008, she married Scott Wehrmann, in Blair, NE.

Sarah was preceded in death by her mother Vonna Lunsway and grandparents, Fred and Elsie Sears and Dwight and Eula Davis.

She is survived by her husband Scott; father John (Judith) Sears, Sr.; siblings, Liz (Dan) Stone, John (Karla) Sears, Jr and Tom (Wendy) Sears; her children, Justin (Haelee) Isaacson, Aaron Isaacson, Emily (Keith) Derickson, Andrew Wehrmann, Betsy (David) Clark, Maggie Wehrmann and Chelsey (Andy) Haeck; and grandchildren, Haedyn and Jack Isaacson, Abe, Saul, Levi and Olive Derickson, Easton, Reese and Rozalyn Wehrmann, Nick and Gwen Clark, Luna Wehrmann, and Maisy and Lainey Haeck.

Visitation is 5-7:00 p.m. Friday, June 26, 2026, at Baalmann Mortuary, Colby. The funeral service is at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 27, 2026, also at the mortuary with burial in Beulah Cemetery, Colby.
