Goodland and Colby Hold Strong in Stacked Field at Cimarron Invitational

The Cimarron Invitational brought together a competitive field of western Kansas golf programs Monday at the Cimarron Golf Club, with Goodland and Colby both turning in standout performances in a deep and talented lineup.
Goodland secured a strong third-place finish with a team total of 324, just three strokes behind tournament champion South Gray (321) and one behind runner-up Syracuse (323). Colby posted a team score of 361, tying for fourth with Hugoton and Sublette in a tight mid-pack battle.
Goodland Cowboys Stay Consistent
Goodland’s depth proved pivotal, with Barrett Schloss leading the way with a 77, good for a tie for fourth overall among all individuals. He was joined in the top 10 by Braylon Mull, who carded a 79, tying for seventh and solidifying Goodland’s presence near the top of the leaderboard.
Backing them up were Luke Thomas and Blair Linin, both shooting 84 to place just outside the top 10, and T. Sheldon, who added a 90 to round out the scoring. Brody Schlosser chipped in with a 94, reinforcing the Cowboys’ team strength and contributing valuable depth.
Colby Eagles Flash Individual Firepower
Colby’s Kaleb Dixon turned in a standout round of 79, tying for seventh and anchoring the Eagles’ team performance. Close behind was Kade Youngman, who posted an 83 to crack the top 15 and help Colby stay competitive in a large field.
The Eagles also received a steady 93 from Kieren Youngman, with Cash Tubbs adding a 106 and Grant Stephens a 107. Legend Finley closed out the team scorecard with a 119, contributing in tough playing conditions on the long and challenging 6,614-yard, par-72 course.
