Goodland started its season off with a 3-0 sweep of St. Francis. 

Colby went 1-2 at the Lakin Quad: Lady Eagles were swept by Holcomb & Lakin but did win in straight sets over Ulysses.

Oakley improved to 4-0 on the young season with sweeps of Plainville & Trego.

Cheylin also remained unbeaten, sweeping hosts Northern Valley & Wheatland-Grinnell. Wheatland-Grinnell won the other match of the Tri, sweeping Northern Valley.

DCHS beat Quinter 2-1.

Oakley golf came in 4th at the Stanton County Invitational yesterday.  Lady Plainsmen were led by Sawyer Beckman & Zoey Myer, who each went 19-over par to tie for 17th. 

The Rockies are back in the win column, beating Baltimore 4-2 Tuesday night at Coors Field and snapping a 10-game home losing streak. Colorado grabbed an early lead, and TJ Rumfield delivered the big blow with a two-run homer in the seventh to give the Rockies some breathing room. Adael Amador also went deep, while Gabriel Hughes and the Colorado bullpen held Baltimore to two runs. The Rockies hope to take the series today. 

The Royals dropped their series opener against Miami 6-3 Tuesday night at Kauffman Stadium. Kansas City was held to just one hit through the first seven innings before making a late push with two runs in the eighth and a Nick Loftin homer in the ninth. Randy Dobnak allowed six runs over six-plus innings as the Royals suffered their second straight loss. Noah Cameron gets the start tonight as Kansas City looks to even the series. First pitch is set for 6:40 CT on KXXX.
