Dixie Marie (Black) Fields of Menlo, KS passed away November 17, 2025. She was born on August 5, 1955, to Carl Duane and Darlene Faye (Larson) Black.
She grew up in Oberlin, Kansas and graduated from Decatur County High School in 1973.
While still in high school, she was introduced to the love of her life, Richard Fields, by his best friend, Phil Wurm. They married on December 14, 1973. To this union were born four children.

Injury Crash on K-383 in Norton County Amid Dense Fog Conditions Wednesday Morning
A two-vehicle crash on K-383 north of Norton sent one driver to the hospital Wednesday morning as dense fog covered much of Northwest Kansas. This crash closed down K-383 for about 2 hours Wednesday morning.
According to the Kansas Highway Patrol crash log, the crash occurred on November 19, 2025, at 7:52 a.m. at K-383 milepost 100.1—about 4.1 miles north of K-60.
