Injury Crash Reported on I-70 Near Oakley
An injury crash was reported Tuesday morning, July 29th, on Interstate 70 in Gove County, just one mile east of Oakley.
According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, the accident occurred at approximately 9:08 a.m. on the westbound off-ramp at milepost 76. A 2018 Chevy Cruze, traveling westbound, left the roadway and struck a road closure sign. The vehicle sustained damage and was removed from the scene by S and M Repair.

Four Injured in Wednesday Night Crash Near Oakley
Four people were taken to Logan County Hospital following a single-vehicle crash on I-70 late Wednesday night.
According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, the crash happened around 10:58 p.m. on July 23, when a 2000 Dodge Durango traveling eastbound attempted to exit the interstate at Exit 70—approximately six miles north of Oakley. The vehicle hydroplaned, struck a highway sign, then hit a tree just south of the exit ramp.
